FAQs
What is Rai Boxing?
A boxing training app for people training on their own. It builds your week around your level, your kit and what you came for, runs each session on a round clock that calls the punches out loud, checks your form on the phone's camera, sets a daily fitness challenge, and has a coach chat you can ask about your training.
Is it for complete beginners?
Yes. A beginner is never asked to score their own skills; the app starts them at Foundation and moves them up as sessions are done. Every drill comes with what to do, what to watch for and, where it has been filmed, a demonstration.
Do I download it from the App Store or Google Play?
No download needed. Rai Boxing runs in your phone's browser at raiboxing.com, on iPhone and Android. Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app.
How long is a session?
You choose how many days a week you train, from two to six, and how long you have. The workouts in the library run from about ten minutes to just under an hour, and most need no equipment.
How old do I need to be?
Sixteen or over, as the terms say. If you are under 18, the food diary never shows you a daily calorie number.
Why is my account approved by hand?
A person checks every new account before training starts, so we know who is training with us. You fill in your profile, and we email you when you are in.
Is the coach a real person?
The coach chat is an AI model. It knows your level, your kit, your plan and your recent training, and it can suggest a workout that is open to you. It advises; your level is set by the app's rules, never by the chat. It has a daily limit on answers.
Do I need any equipment?
No. Every level has sessions that need nothing but floor space. A skipping rope, a heavy bag, pads or a training partner each unlock more, and the app only ever offers work you have the kit for.
How does the form check work?
You prop the phone up, hold your stance or shadow box for thirty seconds, and the app scores what it saw: guard, chin, hand return, stance width and more. The pose model runs on the phone itself. The video never leaves it and nothing is uploaded. The score is the app's own, built from what one camera can see; it is not a coach's judgement.
What is the daily challenge?
One fitness test a day, such as press-ups or squats against the clock, counted by the camera with clean reps and shallow reps told apart. It is scored out of a hundred against a target for your level, and compared with other people at the same level once enough have done it.
Can I log what I eat?
Yes. Search a food, scan its barcode, or just describe the meal in words, like "6 eggs and two slices of toast". Tell it your goal and it shows a daily range for it, worked out from your height, weight, age and training, and the coach can comment on your day. Nobody under 18 is given a number.
Does it give medical advice or help me make weight?
No, on purpose. Food ranges are estimates, not a diet plan or medical advice, and Rai Boxing will never tell you how to make a fight weight or suggest fasting or cutting. If you are hurt, it tells you to stop and see a doctor.
Can I train with my friends?
Yes. Follow the people you train with, see their workouts in your feed, react and comment, and message anybody who follows you back. Your profile is private until you make it public, so only people you say yes to see your workouts.
Does it teach sparring?
Not to anybody training alone. Sparring is only ever suggested to people who train at a gym with a coach in the room, and then as something to arrange with that coach.
